What shipped, and when. Written for the person using RoadSnap rather than for the commit log: a release that changed nothing you can see is not here, however much work it was.

Only one item is selected at a time

- Only one item is selected at a time again. Using an item's menu, or ticking it done from the card, moved the keyboard to that item but left the highlight on the one you had chosen — so two items looked selected and adding underneath could land on the wrong one. The highlight and the keyboard now always agree. Selecting several on purpose, with shift or control, is unchanged.
The AI Assistant's daily suggestion arrives, and stops rationing itself

- On Pro and Team, the assistant's daily suggestion now arrives when you open a plan. It is meant to offer two short things once a day, and it had been appearing only if you switched from one plan to another in the same sitting. Opening a plan fresh, which is how most days start, asked for it a moment before the app knew enough to ask, and then never asked again.
- And it no longer stops itself part way through the month. It used to draw on the same monthly allowance as the questions you type, and stop once a fifth of that was gone, which on a large plan could be a few days. It is now free: the once-a-day limit in Settings is the only thing that decides when it speaks, and what you ask for keeps the whole allowance.
- Pressing Enter or Tab on an item you have not named yet no longer makes it disappear. Both keys add something: Enter a row alongside, Tab a row underneath. On an item still waiting for its name they were deleting it instead and adding nothing, so the row vanished and the next press worked from the level above. The item is now kept, labelled Untitled until you name it. Clicking away from an empty item still discards it, as before.
Choosing a paid plan on the way in now works

- Choosing Pro or Team before you had ever saved anything used to fail at the payment page. A new account gets its workspace the first time something is saved, and going straight to checkout arrived before that — so the payment page could not open. It is now created the moment it is needed.
- Choosing Pro on the pricing page now takes you to the payment page, and nothing in between. There used to be one more screen asking whether you wanted monthly or annual — a question the pricing page had already answered, since it shows monthly unless you switch it. Choosing Team still asks how many seats, because that is the one thing we cannot work out for you.
- And if anything does get in the way, your choice is kept rather than quietly dropped. It used to be possible to choose a plan, sign up, and arrive on the free plan with nothing said. Now the choice survives, you are told, and one click takes you back to it.
- The panel where you create your account is shorter. If you chose Pro, it says so and gets out of the way. It no longer offers you the free plan you have just declined, and the note about adding a card has moved to the payment page itself, where it cannot be mistaken.
- And the step before the payment page no longer describes what it will charge you. It used to say a card would be asked for and the first payment taken today — which is frightening at the moment somebody is deciding, and not even true if you are on an offer. It now says where you are going, that there is a box for a discount code, and that you can change or cancel any time.
- And if you pick a paid plan on the way in, the welcome now waits for you. It used to open behind the payment step and count itself as read, so people who paid on their first visit never saw the orientation at all. It now waits until you are back, with your plan active.
- The welcome now belongs to your account rather than to the browser. A new account on a computer that had already run RoadSnap — a colleague's laptop, or a second account of your own — used to get no orientation at all, because the browser had seen it once. If you have already seen it, nothing changes: you will not be shown it again.
- And if your session lapses while you are on the payment page, we now say so instead of showing you the pricing table. Coming back from a completed payment without a live session used to land you on the front page with nothing explained. It now tells you the payment went through, that your plan is set up, and offers to sign you back in.
- If you close your account, the page you land on now says so. It used to return you to the front page with nothing explained — which was the last thing you saw after deleting everything you had. It now states that your access has ended and your subscription is cancelled, that your data is deleted thirty days later, and that support can reopen it inside those thirty days.
- The product roadmap you can open inside RoadSnap reads properly again. Notes in it are assembled from our own, with the internal parts removed — and removing a part used to leave its dividing line behind, so two thirds of them ended in a stray horizontal rule. The lines now only appear between things.
- And closing your account now tells you what reopening will not bring back. Reopening inside the thirty days restores your data, but a cancelled subscription cannot be restarted and the period already paid for is not refunded. Both dialogs say so now, before you close and again if you reopen.
- Opening one of our examples no longer puts a copy in your account. The samples — the short example, the programme, and RoadSnap's own public roadmap — are there to look at. Until now, opening one while signed in quietly saved it to your cloud roadmaps a few seconds later, so accounts collected copies nobody asked for. They now stay on the device you opened them on, and saving one to the cloud is something you ask for.
- A roadmap that belongs to someone else's workspace is no longer described as deleted. If this device holds a copy linked to a roadmap your account cannot reach, we now say that, rather than telling you it was deleted from the cloud — and we offer to keep your copy in your own account, which is the thing that actually helps.
- Two dialogs were showing their own formatting marks. The one that tells you a roadmap was deleted from the cloud was the worst place for it. Fixed at the root, so it cannot happen to the others.
- The command that replaces a roadmap from a file now says Replace throughout, and says what it keeps. Its confirmation used to be titled Update, which suggests a merge — it is not one: the tree, levels, columns, objectives and baseline all come from the file. What stays is the roadmap itself, with its cloud copy, comments and links, and the version you replace is kept in history.
- A sample you have edited now says where it is. Samples stay on the device you opened them on until you ask to keep them, and the header used to read Saved · sending for ever once you had changed one. It now reads this device only, and clicking it offers to save a copy to your account.
- Escape closes the New roadmap setup and the Insights panel, and both have a close button. They used to close only when you clicked outside them, and nothing said so.
- If you have been editing a sample, the reminder that it lives on this device now says so. It used to say the roadmap had never been downloaded. It now offers to save a copy to your account, or download one.
- Copy link. Sharing a roadmap can now make a link anyone can read and put it on your clipboard, with no email sent. Untick Anyone with the link can read it and the button goes away, because a link bound to one address is no use to anyone else. The link appears in the list and can be withdrawn like any other.
- The short example is dated from the day you open it. It used to be stamped August 2026, so from mid-September everything in it read as overdue. Finished work is now a fortnight behind you, work in progress is due this month, and one item is flagged amber so you can see the plan report on itself.
- The AI Assistant's monthly figure no longer rises after a question that changed nothing. Such questions were free, as the panel says; the figure just did not know it until the panel was reopened.
A clearer privacy note, and the assistant's price line is back

- We now record a campaign tag when you arrive from a link we advertised. Three short words — a source, a medium and a campaign name — that we write into the link ourselves. They describe the link and not you: everyone who follows the same advertisement sends the identical three. The privacy page says exactly what they are and what they are not.
- The AI Assistant tells you the price up front again. Open it and the footer says what is free, what a proposal has typically cost in your workspace, the most a single question can cost, and how much of this month's budget is left — before you type anything.
- We now record which page you came from, on public discussion sites. Reddit, Hacker News, LinkedIn and a few like them, so we can tell one thread from another. Anywhere else, the site's address alone. Never a search term or query string. The privacy page lists the sites.
- And how many items the plan you open has. The number and nothing else — not the items, not which plan — so we can see what size of plan people build and keep the product quick as plans grow. It is in Settings → What RoadSnap records about you with everything else, and the same switch turns it off.
Pay yearly and keep a fifth, and no surprises at the payment page

- Annual billing is on the pricing page. Pro and Team have always had a yearly price a fifth cheaper; until now you could only find it once you were already paying. Switch the pricing page to Annual and it shows the year's price, what that works out to a month, and what you keep. You can move between monthly and yearly whenever you like from your billing page.
- Choosing a plan now says what happens next. Before you are handed to the payment page, RoadSnap tells you it will ask for a card and take the first payment that day — or, if you are using a founder code, that your first year is free and it will ask for nothing. The pricing page said this and the upgrade path inside the app did not.
- The billing period you picked is the one offered. Choose Annual on the pricing page and it is waiting at the top when you finish signing up, rather than asking you again as though you had not said.
- The AI Assistant tells you the price up front again. It had been appearing only after your first answer, which is the price discovered by asking.
- Collapsing a branch on a shared roadmap now explains itself. Tapping the arrow on a roadmap you can only read used to do nothing at all. Presenting, and the lock button on your own roadmap, collapse normally.
Your own audit log, a mark on shared plans, and pages that read faster

- Activity, for workspace owners. Settings → This workspace → Activity shows who changed what and when, across every roadmap in the workspace, and exports as a spreadsheet. The record is kept by the database rather than the app, so nothing in RoadSnap can rewrite it. It names items and never their contents.
- A quiet mark on shared roadmaps. A roadmap you share by link now carries a small Made with RoadSnap mark. On Pro and Team an owner can switch it off, per workspace, in Settings.
- Every address answers now. Writing to hello@, privacy@ or security@ gets an immediate acknowledgement, as support@ already did. Each one states that address's own reply target: two working days for security reports, and 30 days to complete a privacy request.
- The command palette opens with

One subscription for every workspace you own, and Jira knows who is on what
